Sauna Protocol Challenge

Our journey with Freedom Salt began in the lustrously steamy confines of Stay Elite on the Sunshine Coast, QLD, where the seeds of inspiration were sown. The symbiotic relationship between sauna therapy, heat, and proper hydration formed the cornerstone upon which our formula flourished. Just as we value the natural and pure essence of the traditional sauna experience, so too do we prioritize natural and pure hydration.

The sauna stokes the flames of my passion for electrolytes in their most natural form. My mission is to introduce more individuals to the myriad benefits of sauna therapy and to raise awareness of its wide-ranging advantages, from enhancing performance and longevity to fostering mental tranquility. The sauna serves as a versatile tool, akin to a Swiss army knife, offering an array of benefits waiting to be harnessed.

Andrew Huberman's rigorous scientific inquiries into the benefits of sauna therapy have provided invaluable insights. Drawing upon his research, Huberman has delineated three primary protocols for leveraging sauna therapy to achieve distinct effects. While many avenues remain unexplored and many protocols yet to be developed, for instance incorporation of cold therapy promises to expand the spectrum of benefits. Stay Elite is the perfect playground for experimentation with their traditional sauna, steam room and nordic ice bath all in the one location.


Here's a brief overview of the protocols proposed on Andrew Huberman's website (Link down below);


  1. Heart Health: 15 minutes daily, 7 days a week.

  2. Stress Reduction: 20-30 minutes, 3 times a week.

  3. Hormonal Regulation and HGH Boost (Performance): 120 minutes in a single session, once a week.


Our focus lies squarely on Protocol #3: enhancing performance and stimulating the release of human growth hormone. Rather than undertaking the full regimen of four 30-minute sessions, we're embarking on a half-protocol challenge, engaging in two 30-minute sessions to elicit tangible effects. Once the difference is felt, our mission is accomplished.

This challenge is no small feat. Around the 20-minute mark, discomfort typically sets in for most individuals. Yet, it is within this discomfort that our bodies begin to prime themselves for adaptation and growth. This mobilization triggers the release of hormones crucial for growth and recovery. Sharing the experience with a companion can make the endeavor more manageable, while fasting for three hours beforehand is recommended for optimal results.


As always, it's essential to heed the signals of our bodies and refrain from pushing beyond safe limits. While the sauna offers numerous benefits, it's vital to exercise caution and common sense. Symptoms such as nausea, dizziness, or difficulty breathing indicate a need to cool off. Focusing on controlled breathing and maintaining a relaxed state facilitates adaptation to the sauna's conditions and reduces the risk of premature exit.

HGH Freedom Challenge Terms & Conditions

1. Participation Eligibility

  • The HGH Freedom Challenge ("Challenge") is open to all individuals who meet the age and health criteria necessary to safely participate in sauna activities. Participants must inform the reception desk prior to beginning the Challenge. It is only available at Stay Elite on the Sunshine Coast (To receive the Freedom Salt Jar) Feel Free to Participate in the challenge without the reward! The biggest reward is our health benefit.

2. Challenge Requirements

  • Participants must complete two consecutive 30-minute sauna sessions (totaling 60 minutes) in one visit to qualify for the Challenge.

  • It is crucial that participants remain in the sauna for the full duration of each session without exiting prematurely.

3. Proof of Completion

  • To enter the competition, participants must post photographic or video evidence of their participation on Instagram. Evidence should clearly demonstrate the participant within the sauna during the required time.

  • Participants must tag @freedomsalt and @stayelite in their post to be considered for the prize.

4. Health and Safety

  • Participants are advised to consider their personal health and fitness before attempting the Challenge. Sauna use can have significant effects on the body, and participants should consult with a healthcare provider if unsure about their suitability for sauna use.

  • Proper hydration is essential. Participants are encouraged to drink sufficient water before, during, and after the Challenge to maintain hydration.

5. Prize and Selection

  • Participants who successfully meet the Challenge requirements and provide adequate proof will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a prize.

  • The winners will be selected randomly from eligible entries. The decision of the organizers in all matters relating to the Challenge will be final.

6. General Conditions

  • By participating in the Challenge, participants agree to release and hold harmless the organizers, sponsors, and their respective affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Challenge.

  • The Challenge is subject to federal, state, and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited by law.

7. Privacy

  • Participants agree that personal data submitted with an entry, including name, mailing address, phone number, and email address may be collected, processed, stored and otherwise used for the purposes of conducting and administering the Challenge. Such data may also be used by the organizers in connection with promotional activities related to the Challenge.

8. Acceptance of Terms

  • Participation in the Challenge constitutes the participant's full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Terms & Conditions. Misrepresentation of any fact or circumstances related to eligibility, participation, or entry will result in disqualification from the Challenge.
